Vin en Vacances

Carcassonne is surrounded by hundreds of pretty villages set amongst the vineyards in the valleys and hillsides. This is a place to rest a while and get away from it all to enjoy the peace and quiet and feel what its like to live in this wonderful region. To help you find somewhere to stay in we have compiled a list of places we endorse and highly recommend for the quality of the accommodation and and the warm welcome you will receive. The list includes B&B’s and rental properties, gites as they are called in France and many of them are in the Minervois although some are further afield but all are within reach of our tasting room and are close enough for one of our guides to collect you if you book a tour.

Sainte-Hélène Chambres d’hôtes is a B&B in the little town of Olonzac is owned by Kay and Mark and we are certain that the success of this charming B&B is not only the location, the comfort of their amazing beds, the delicious breakfasts but also these two lovely people who will make sure that your stay with them will be one you will remember for a long time. They often receive letters and messages thanking them for a lovely stay and recently one such message brought a tear to Kay’s eye when she read that staying with them had been the highlight of this guests’ European trip. The same attention to detail and customer care ethos has been adopted for the Languedoc tour business they started a few years ago which uses their B&B as a base for guided holidays. Called The ‘Real’ South of France Tours, Kay and Mark were clear that they wanted to give the best service possible and to do this they strongly believed they should work with local experts and we are proud that Kay and Mark chose Vin en Vacances to run the wine tour & tasting elements of their Languedoc tours.
