4 or 5 nights – September 11 to 16

This 4 or 5-night, 3 or 4-day Food & Wine holiday is an exploration of all the wonderful things that combine to make the Spirit of Languedoc. You will stay in one of the delightful B&B’s we have chosen in Carcassonne, ideally placed to enjoy the restaurants and bars in this lovely southern city.

Wednesday If you have chosen the 5-night option you will arrive at your B&B today ready to tour with us the next day.

Thursday If you have chosen the 4-night option you will arrive at your B&B today. For those who have opted for the 5-night holiday, you will spend the day exploring the Malepère & Limoux wine districts. Limoux is famous for its sparkling wines and our visits today include a top-class producer of these wines. In the Malepère we will taste the red and rosé produced under appellation plus excellent varietal wines.

Friday Today will be a leisurely day spent at Vignoble Puy where if you have ever dreamed of sitting in an olive grove enjoying the peace and tranquillity of the South of France whilst sipping a chilled glass of rosé and tucking into a fabulous alfresco lunch then you will love today’s tour. You will also enjoy a stroll in the vineyard and a tour of the winery with the wine maker plus we will visit the beautiful village of Minerve,

Saturday You will spend the day in the Corbières enjoying a guided stroll around the village of Lagrasse, visit a local artisanal vinegar producer and the Lagrasse Saturday morning market finishing at one of our favourite restaurants for lunch. In the afternoon we will visit a family owned winery in the Corbières to taste delicious Corbières wines.

Sunday Today’s tour combines the history of the Cathars with the fabulous wines of the Roussillon as we head south to spend the day in and around Maury. The village is famous for its sweet red wine and the impressive castles of Quéribus and Peyreperteuse which we will visit today.

Accommodation
We have chosen a range of fabulous B&B’s located in the bastide town of Carcassonne. You will enjoy 4 or 5 nights in a delightfully comfortable en-suite bedroom and a delicious breakfast each morning.

Price
The price based on 2 people sharing a double room is €1230 per person for the 5-night holiday and €1000 for the 4-night holiday. Single travellers are very welcome, and the price is €1500 per person for the 5-night holiday and €1200 for the 4-night holiday. The price includes:

• 4 or 5-nights B&B accommodation
• 3 or 4 full days touring the Languedoc-Roussillon
• Lunch each day
• The cost of visits and tastings
• Transport throughout the tours
